Maxwell compares Credentials against Character:
1. Credentials are transient and Character is permanent.
2. Credentials turn the focus to rights and Character keeps the focus on responsibilities.
3. Credentials add value to only one person and character adds value to many people.
4. Credentials look to past accomplishments and character builds a legacy for the future.
5. Credentials can evoke jealousy in others and can only get you in the door, where your character generages respect and integrity keeps you there!

5. When you have something to say about people, do you talk to them or about them?
